Synopsis
Adnan has a wonderful mansion in the channel shore of Istanbul. In the mansion, they live as a family, with Adnan’s two children, Behlul, who is the son of a distant relative, and lastly their French nanny. This peaceful picture is broken when Adnan meets Bihter. Even though Bihter is so much younger than Adnan, he falls in love with her.

Bihter is from a well-known family and has a wealthy background. His affection towards Adnan is just out of the urge to take revenge from her mother. It’s because his father died, when he figured out his wife, Firdevs was cheating on him. By marrying Adnan, Bihter thinks he may prevent her marry Adnan. Yet, the big age difference is not the only handicap before their marriage. Nihal, who is the daughter of Firdevs and Adnan also challenge this marriage. In spite of all these drawbacks, Adnan and Bihter get married.
After their marriage, Bihter searches for seclusion and tranquillity but she bumps into a man who will change her life deeply. It is Behlul. At the beginning, she shows no interest in Behlul who develops a crush on her. But, as the time passes, they start to feel an irresistible affinity for each other, become drowned by their infatuation and finally fall in love. They start having a secret and passionate affair and their secret love affair soon affects every member of the family.

In Forbidden Love, the main story, which is based on the work of the foremost Turkish author Halit Ziya Usakligil, presents a secret and dramatic love affair full of twists and surprises. While Bihter and Behlul tries to love each other without fear, guilt and regret, the inevitable tragic fate waits for them. Passion and love try to capture loyalty. The betrayal shades the innocence.
